Lunch Information & Prices
Dear Families,
For the 2024-2025 school year, as a result of available funds from the CSDE (State Transition Assistance for Reduced-price or STAR funds), qualified reduced meal students can receive one free breakfast (available at NBHS only) and one free lunch per school day.
It is important, for households who may qualify, to submit a free and reduced-price meal application to determine a student’s eligibility for the school year. A new application is required each school year. This application and related information can be found on this page. Please view this helpful parent video on How to Fill Out the Application for Free and Reduced-price Meals or Free Milk.
As an additional note, families may qualify for free and reduced meals through the school meal application process or through the direct certification process managed by the Connecticut State Department of Social Services (CT DSS). The direct certification process coincides with food assistance programs extended by the CT DSS to families in need of this qualified assistance. These programs include the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance (TANF) and Medicaid.
