The North Branford Education Foundation

The North Branford Education Foundation was established in 2008. It was started by former North Branford Superintendent of Schools Robert Wolfe and a group of interested citizens. The organization is served by a board of community volunteers (in concert with the Superintendent of Schools Scott Schoonmaker and Deputy Mayor Joanne Wentworth who serve as ex-officio members). Marie Diamond, retired Director of Curriculum and Instruction from North Haven School District, is President of the North Branford Education Foundation.

The primary goal of the North Branford Education Foundation is to raise funds from individuals, businesses, and civic groups in the community and from alumni nationwide to promote the excellence of North Branford Public Schools. The Foundation is independent of the Board of Education and is not designed to replace tax dollars nor to affect the school budgeting process.
